CrossFit ATM

Mike's Gym!! A world renowned place. People travel from around the world to learn from Mike Burgener, seated on the right with the hat. That is probably a jack daniels and coke in his left hand from having to correct my snatch so many times! Mike's son, Casey Burgner was the top US qualifier for the Beijing Olympics in weightlifting. Dutch and I had the amazing opportunity to learn from the best. Coach really broke us down and taught us the correct technique. After giving us a healthy dose, he prescribed a jump in his pool around back and a cold beer. What a guy! We then joined his wife, sister and Greg Everett (an amazing lifter) for dinner. These are world class lifters and world class people at the same time! Thank you Mike and Greg for the expertise, and I wish you all the best!

Hey everyone!!  I know it has been a while and i hope everyone is doing well.  It looks like Jonny is treating you with an extra bit of love yesterday and today.  I have a couple things to announce so be patient with me.  First of all I wanted to let ya'll know that marshall made it safe and sound and is pretty happy to be here but i can tell he misses ya'll already.

Second, i want to announce the 3rd annual Fight Gone Bad fundraiser to be held at Crossfit ATM on September 27th.  I will do my best to be there and suffer along with all of you.  If you don;t know what this is check it out here.  I can't find the pictures from last year but rest assured we had a great time with  BBQ and beer afterwards to celebrate all the hard work.  This fundraiser benefits both prostate cancer research and the wounded warrior project.  Both worthy causes in my opinion.  Feel free to post questions to comments or check out the website set up by the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation.  Click on register and make sure to select Crossfit ATM as your team.  I will have more details later on but for the mean time get signed up and see what you can do about donations.

A parking lot has sprung up on the corner of Francis and Walton. There are no signs saying you cannot park there. I recommend using this parking lot, it makes for a shorter walk than the walk from the park. See everyone in the box!

His name is Michael Baker ladies! When he is not sculpting his body, he enjoys reading a good book and sweeping young women off their feet with his charm.  That face is priceless in your attempt at a max clean and jerk.

I have the honor of seeing faces like this all day. Going through that pain and suffering pays off in the end. Keep up the good work everyone!
